How it all Started

Nat’s Fava Bean was never just about beans — it was about belonging. It started in a small kitchen, with a pot of slow-simmered fava beans and a longing for something familiar. For founder Natalie Saleh, it was more than a recipe — it was a memory. Growing up, fava beans were a staple at the table — always warm, always shared. They were the centerpiece of loud family breakfasts, late-night bites, and everything in between. But as Natalie got older, she realized something was missing. The fava beans she loved — the kind packed with flavor, soul, and history — weren’t easy to find. So she decided to make them herself.

Founder's Journey

Still in high school, i began making my own version of a beloved Palestinian staple — a rich, spiced, and spreadable fava bean dip inspired by generations of family tradition. What started in my parents’ kitchen, with weekend batches filled with love, quickly became a local favorite. Every Sunday, neighbors would line up in the driveway just to get a taste. I called it Nat’s — a name that felt personal, warm, and rooted in home. Choosing this path wasn’t easy for me. There were tough conversations, moments of self-doubt, and a big decision to step away from the traditional route to chase a bigger dream — sharing my culture through food. But i believed in what i was building. It wasn’t just about a condiment — it was about connection, heritage, and pride in where I came from. Today, Nat’s Fava Bean still carries that same spirit: made from humble roots, full of bold Palestinian flavor, and created with heart. Every container is a small piece of our story — a reminder that food can preserve culture, spark conversation, and bring people together. Thanks for being part of our journey. We’re proud to share a taste of home with you.
